What do you want that you do not already have and what is in the way of you having that now?1/23/2022 WHAT IS TAKING RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOUR LIFE?I recently had a conversation where I experienced being told, "You should just appreciate your simple Kambo Utah life and be grateful." This was in comparison to how this person's life is to mine.
I was also told, "You should be grateful for Kambo and that people even love you at this age... it's hard enough already." Additionally, to just be loved is all I could expect in my later forties and I should just be grateful at my ripe age of almost 46... When I read these statements something profund shifted in my thinking... Two distinct perspectives came to me. 1. How does this individual experience the world and what is it in me that I am projecting or reflecting in this very moment and... 2. Do I entertain this conversation? ABSOLUTELY YES!!! To suggest a person is not capable of the kind of relatedness and love they so desire, ought to settle actually revels the judgments and lack within oneself. These type of statements are windows to someone's soul. They are engrained beliefs and values. These statements caused me to reflect deeply about the experiences of my life. Where is it that I lack 100% responsibility for what I have and do not have that I really truly want? A few weeks ago I had a very different conversation with a loved one who asked me specifically: 1. What is that you want that you do not have? 2. What is it that is in the way of you having that now? This dear soul really went for it and asked me to check myself. For that alone is a gift... There were two very distinct perspectives. First, just be grateful and take what you have as it is. Second, what do you want with Kambo and relationships that you do not have and what's in the way of you having that now? It was really profund to me to be presented these options. I've worked really hard to be fortunate that I can spend quality time raising my daughter. This has not be simple, easy, or without extreme sacrifice which I choose and continue to choose. I love my life and my children. I have done a great deal of personal work to have what I have today and there's still so much more to grow and learn. I'm not at all living the life I truly desire. The only person responsible for this is me. Entirley me. There are spaces in my life that I have literally pulled myself out of depression and at times wasn't sure where I would figure out the next meal for myself and my kids. There truly is hunger in the US and it's often someone living right next door to you. There are times I have sat at home in the bath tub crying, devastated over divorce, and wondering what I was going to do next. Debt piling up from unforeseen medical expenses, life in general... and no consistent income coming in. Still, I figured things out. Paid debts, repaired my credit and created a lovely way to work for myself. This was not easy! There was nothing simple about cleaning up my chaotic life and choosing to love myself over and over regardless of a failed marriage. Regardless of the pain and there's nothing like a deep wound to surge into growth. I hustled secondary sources of income. Then, put that to work by educating myself. I took classes, seminars, workshops, trainings... I put forth a great deal of time and space to rebuild, repair and flourish my body, mind, emotions, spiritual knowledge and most importantly my communication skills. Remember the conversation about, "What is that I want that I do not have...?" This same loving bold individual also asked me these three questions... 1. Compared to who? 2. Compared to what? 3. How specifically? What is being grateful for my simple life and just accepting that at 46 someone could, would, or choose to love me be just enough to stop growing and wanting anything else in life? I went deep asking myself these questions over and over and over... 1. What is it that I want that I do not have? 2. What is in the way of me having it now? 3. Compared to who? 4. Compared to what and how specifically? Do I make a lot of money... what's a lot of money? Compared to who and compared to what? Am I grateful, loved and have the life I want? Compared to who compared to what and how specifically? I'm writing this to document a profound perspective I was so graciously offered. To share a little reality over here and be real with others. Tell the truth. I never want to forget where I've come from, the experiences, trials and tribulations I've overcome. Still, these scenarios do not define me and they are gifts. If you haven't already taken the time to reflect on your worth and suddenly felt deep gratitude for yourself, I urge you to do that now. I reflected deeply on the love and value I bring to those I surround. A day when gratitude was present and my worth clearly understood regardless of what someone else saw. See that conversation a few weeks ago was not by accident. I believe some people are truly gifted. They bring a lot of fire and wisdom and you can listen or you can run and hide. So when the conversation came on hot... and I wanted to run... I chose to listen... Sometimes in the weirdest of ways we find clarity. Those who truly love me know the mountains I've climbed to be where I am today and they continue to support me being my best. Thank you for supporting me and seeing me. For witnessing my beauty and for always holding me in the highest regard. I honor you deeply. There are some people who never leave us and they strike the deepest of chords. It's incredible to reframe, and shift a person and do it out of strength and love. Thank you so much. Go get what you want and let go over comparing your wants and desires and anyone who isn't aligned will see themselves quickly elsewhere or align powerfully. It's up to you to see and know your worth and take responsibility for what is showing up in your life always. KAMBO PRACTITIONER TRAININGMy background as a Transformational Wellness Mentor is extensive. I would love to work with you!Disclosure: I have a very distinct opinion on what I believe to be a sound approach when learning Kambo and then administering sessions to the general public. I am affiliated with several training programs that are much different from my approach and I honor the work amongst the colleagues I know, love, and trust. This blog is in no way meant to deter or diminish the trainings I support that are different from my mentorship program.
Please message me directly at peacelovekambo@gmail.com with questions regarding the topic of Kambo trainings and if you are interested in working with me please apply here. I firmly believe that it's important that a leader and mentor know their ability to hold space and if they're not the right fit for an individual they refer a potential client to someone they know could support. Therefore, I'm going to list two options here I fully support if working with me is not an option. There are amazing practitioners that work in shorter trainings than what I offer. I honor you deeply. First, one kambo practitioner training I support for those who are not seeking a long term mentorship, and want to work within a group setting would be Tribal Detox in Crede Colorado. I know Jason Fellows well. In fact, we both left the IAKP organization to further our own desires to lead and train kambo in ways that we felt more aligned. I have spent years speaking to Jason about his work and I can fully support his training program for those who want group options and to work in a more condensed option. Jason Fellows and Kelly Lamb with Tribal Detox Colorado will get you on the right foot and support you in safety with kambo options which is key. Plus, we train exact same methodologies pretty much and we both connect often to just stay up to date with the growth. They're incredible people working a little bit differently with similar beliefs and honor the same. I love their options for condensed training and if you do seek them out, be ready. Do your personal work to stay present and connected. Jason Fellows and Kelly Lamb do not mess around. They will literally put you through a kambo boot camp! Second option I support is Wendy Lieber with Kambo Life NY. Although she's training within the IAKP organization and I've since departed this organization a few years back, I believe the IAKP produces quality practitioners and they care about being a leader in the industry. Wendy is a Master Practitioner who leads a two week training and then they break down levels from basic to advanced to master. This piece is where I differ and do not align with the IAKP. However, Wendy Lieber with Kambo Life NY is an excellent practitioner and the best part is she also teaches private one on one kambo options for those who wish to work and train privately. Wendy Lieber also travels nationwide and abroad. I have personal experience with Wendy Lieber Kambo Life NY for over 6 years and personally trained side by side with her in the IAKP. You can trust that Wendy will get you on the right foot ready to go with all the skills necessary to work with the general population and Wendy is a top notch individual always growing and reliable for who she is in the work. With all the Kambo trainings out there it's hard to know which direction to take your interest and desires. I want to first let you know that Kambo Trainings are not backed by any leading authority or government institution. I also do not agree with online Kambo trainings as they are not at all supporting the life threatening issues that can occur in a Kambo session. It's absolutely shocking what I've seen out there these days and for that very reason, I keep my program very specific and in-depth. We will not be working for 7 days straight serving ourselves twice daily Kambo either... I just read about that training approach. Hello... can we say exhausted adrenals and potential hormone imbalances... okay rant over. The current legality of Kambo ongoing will rest in the hands of those working with it. There are a lot of training programs out there in the US and abroad that make a lot of promises for ongoing support only to leave you searching in the find section of a private Facebook group for an answer to a medication or possible contraindication for Kambo. It is very rare to get the one on one support day in day out for the first year which is very vital for the ongoing success and stability of a Kambo practice. What sets me apart from most trainings is that I work individually and in smaller groups and I have a track record of training and mentoring for over 20 years in several modalities aside from Kambo Salt Lake City. I know what it takes to develop a practice that enriches the lives of those working with a practitioner and I can teach anyone working with me how to create a multi serve wellness practice and thrive! I have an extensive background in business and spa management as well as managing a large multipurpose health facility. I can back up my work over and over and I'm not training people in workshops sending them out to serve the general public. We specialize and build your work and when you're done mentoring with me you will be one of the best in your areas and on an incredible team. That is why it is important to research a training program and know that the practitioners leading have a track record of success and reliability. The actual support you will receive in the training and the ongoing support will hold you in safety. I do not believe short trainings are sufficient methods to train in Kambo Salt Lake City. Therefore, I have an extensive program that outlines a great deal of support and ongoing mentorship. I train not only in Kambo but in Time Line Therapy®, NLP, and Hypnosis. My practitioners are not just receiving Kambo. We are also looking at legalities, business models and how to attract and maintain quality clients that understand the value of your time and pay according to the services and time spent. My trainings are cost effective and reliable as well. I take the time to tailor each individual's needs working with me and set them up fro success around their practice, desires, intentions and overall goals. I am not in the business of burning and turning practitioners and flooding the market. My goal is to create quality over quantity. The best way to look at training with me is to view this as a partnership. I work with you side by side upfront for roughly 80 hours in person and/or we develop a specific approach that supports your goals with Kambo. You will have min 40 hours in person with me and up to 120 depending on your ability to travel to Utah or living locally. I also offer specific programs for individuals that are abroad or out of state. Please get with me directly on those options. Once we have worked together upfront we then together tailor the next steps in a study that is carried out over the course of 30-90 day time frame which we directly speak daily and build your work, knowledge and understanding of Kambo. This process is my unique approach and not offered in any other training out there. This specific time frame supports you to develop a unique connection with Kambo and I'm with you the whole way. Then, after we've completed your Kambo dieta we get to work on creating your approach and series. We identify what your ideal approach will be in your market, spend time developing your skills in that specific area and then we get to work and so much more. The unique experience will create a massive shift in your life and you'll never look back nor regret the time you spend training and developing yourself with a mentor. Utah Kambo compliments many types of natural wellness practices, including yoga, meditation, as well as healing modalities with various medicinal values. Please get with me if you're looking to further advance your wellness practice, center, studio, spa and even looking to start a wellness practice. REQUEST A CONSULTATION Peace Love and More Utah Kambo, Juls Broadhead Master Kambo Practitioner, Transformational Wellness Mentor BC Master NLP Practitioner/Coach/Trainer, BC Master Hypnotherapist/Trainer BC Master Timeline Therapist WHAT IS KAMBO SALT LAKE CITY THERAPY?Can a secretion comprised of bioactive peptides from a frog in the Amazon really ease depression, chronic pain, detox vital organs, and even help with addiction?People experiencing difficulties with mental wellbeing such as depression or addiction, can often find themselves in cycles of being willing to try just about anything including plant medicines, mediation, yoga, reiki energy work, even kambo for relief. We've also come a long way in the age of consciousness and it is well known that traditional western medical treatments like prescriptions or even behavioral therapy aren't necessarily the answer and often times these processes are not truly effective for long term stability and learning to live happy and healthy. It's more than just taking a prescription these days. People are learning to take care of themselves in as part of a spiritual aspect in healing through the four bodies referred to the spiritual, mental, emotional and physical wellbeing. Therefore, people are now engaging in an array of alternative options, such as kambo therapy. I had a first hand experience searching for support. I googled all sorts of things in in the surrounding areas for healing such as Park City kambo, Salt Lake City kambo, Utah kambo only to find nothing in my area which is how I ended up in California kambo with a self trained kambo facilitator. It was then that I realized I wanted to become a kambo trainer and support kambo training in a private one on one mentorship. I learned that this specific shamanistic healing process is much of a ritual that has basically been around forever in the Amazon. At the time in 2012 it was just starting to get attention in the United States because of a man name Simon Scott who had originated and coined the term kambo cleanse. HOW DOES KAMBO WORK?How does kambo work and what does it do for the body?Kambo is a milky secretion that is found on the back and hind legs of the bright green giant monkey frogs that live in the Amazon. This frog is also known scientifically classified as the Phyllomedusa bicolor, the giant leaf frog, bicolor tree-frog, giant monkey frog, or waxy-monkey tree-frog, is a species of leaf frog. These frogs secrete a poisonous waxy substance to defend themselves from predators. This secretion is generally used fresh in the Amazon by tribes. Outside of the Amazon a Salt Lake City kambo practitioner will use a dehydrated secretion in what’s known as a tribal or basic traditional Utah kambo session as well as in kambo training programs. Many scientists have contributed to the research in kambo which specifically shows the frog secretions are packed with a powerful chemical combination of bioactive peptides. Research also proves that several peptides in the frog secretions interacts with the body's pain receptors also known as the opiate receptors which supports with building a natural pain management system and repairs damaged receptors. Scientist have found that there are three types of opioid receptors: mu, delta, and kappa. A Utah kambo session is also known to create extreme cleansing and calming effects in the body. HOW TO PREPARE FOR KAMBOPreparation for a Utah Kambo SessionPreparing for a kambo Salt Lake City session with me would require that you eat clean. I often ask that my clients avoid dairy, spicy foods, heavy meats and processed fried foods a few days if not longer before coming to work with me in Utah kambo. I also require a quick consultation to go over any health issues to verify that I am qualified to support someone in kambo. The day prior to a session, it is imperative to prepare the body by fasting from food and water roughly 12-15 hours before the session. I prefer that clients come to early sessions verses fasting all day and coming after work. I believe in my Utah kambo practice that clients are better served doing kambo sessions earlier in the day around 9-10am verses later in the day. I also believe hydration is key and require that clients do preparatory work ahead of time within the weeks prior to a session hydrating their bodies properly and drinking a brand of specific electrolytes called Ultima and Trace Minerals. I ask for clients to come having fasted from water and food and bring a serving of the Ultima and Trace Minerals for consumption prior to their session. WHAT IS A KAMBO CONSULTATIONThere are a few key things to know prior to working with kambo and a consultation is beneficial. There are various health situations I am not qualified to work with. Those can be referred to on my website. Prior to the kambo session we also talk in depth about intentions for the work. In my experience it is very necessary to verify that whomever someone works with as a kambo facilitator, that they be qualified to hold space for someone's needs. I always qualify a client by phone or over email and I review an application to work with me that includes a clients medical history. It's imperative to share with a Kambo Practitioner about what prescriptions are being taken because there are several medications that are contra-indicated when working with kambo Salt Lake City. In terms of depression and dealing with those medications such as SSRIs, these are not contra-indicated. Kambo is widely known as an alternative process to cleanse the body and help deal with depression, ADHD, anxiety and various mood disorders. I do my very best to spend time with each person I work with so that I am able to understand the issues they're dealing with and what they would like to achieve in working with kambo Draper. Again, it's my humble opinion that a practitioner be capable of supporting a client and have proper kambo training to include other modalities that support in trauma release, breath work, mediation, boundaries and communication techniques. It's important for me to understand what's happening my client's lives and the emotional wellbeing they experience and create ongoing for themselves. Kambo sessions help with clearing a lot of negative emotions and it also supports people in creating deep courage and strength. However, a session isn't going to clear everything. It's important that a client understands their responsibility in doing the post integration work as well. It's also very rewarding to work with people for the first time in kambo sessions and training them in kambo training. For someone coming for the first time, I review and explain the entire experience so they feel very comfortable and can rely on me to be their partner in creating a unique experience. We go over every part of what generally happens in a session, what it could possibly feel like for them in kambo and what to expect in terms of how to work in my studio. It's very important to understand the session to let go of fear and to be able to relax and let go. WHAT HAPPENS IN A KAMBO SESSIONKambo sessions usually last about 2 hours and involve purging, sweating and often times going to the bathroom.I generally start by smudging and cleansing the space. I greet clients at the door with either sage, aqua de florida water or palo santo. I used a feather or a fan with this process. From there we get things situated in the space we use while getting aquatinted with the bathroom just in case! Then, we sit down on a yoga mat with a pad. I like to have people close to the floor and sitting upright with something that supports their back and hips. It's easy for a kambo session if the individual working with kambo Salt Lake City remains upright for the session as the energy of the session moves better in an upright position.
Remaining upright in a kambo session also supports if one would need to go to the bathroom or find themselves purging. There is usually a large bucket next to the yoga mat to allow for propping up if purging becomes consistent in the session. The buckets are nice because they keep you propped up and connected to the cleansing process. I generally support clients on the way to the bathroom if they need to bottom purge. Once a client is situated we generally start the session by creating the entry points for kambo and decide on placement. Usually, I will have a general idea prior to the session as to where I am going to place the kambo secretions. For new clients, I generally start slow and work my way furthest from the heart which starts at the lower right ankle. The burns are about 1/8 in diameter and gentle. The key is to not burn too deeply as we only need a superficial layer of the skin to be exposed. From there, I will activate the kambo and place that on the entry point which is known as the gate. The kambo on the gate is known as the point. How many points I use is different for each client as well. It varies from session to kambo session. I have been working with kambo over 8 years and to date it never ceases to amaze me that less is always more. There is a distinct way to work with kambo that most Kambo provo practitioners discover over longer periods of time when they become more experienced. I can't really describe why it is this way and the closer they get to understanding themselves better as a person, the kambo generally reveals a deeper sense of connection. Again, in my humble opinion, less is always more. Especially for new clients. Once the kambo is applied, it takes about 2-5 minutes for the average person to experience the flush through the blood brain barrier. Once that occurs the kambo is moving throughout your whole body by way of the lymphatic system. The process usually lasts about 20-40 minutes depending on the practitioners methodology and style of practice. Additionally, while in the session it is common for clients to drink water or cassava. The water pieces depend on the practitioner and style of session as well. |
